Synopsis:

Ladyhawke follows Phillipe Gaston (Matthew Broderick), a petty thief in Medieval Europe known as “the Mouse.” Soon after rush the dungeons of Aquila and the hangman’s noose, he accidentally becomes entwined with the quest a pair of star-crossed lovers Attiene Navarre and Lady Isabeau (Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfiefer) to crash themselves of a curse attach on them by the sinister and base bishop of Aquila (John Wood) .

About the Movie

Ladyhawke stands as one of my accepted movies. I tend to go towards fantasy as a matter of course, but this movie has strong ‘chick-flick’ elements in it.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Ladyhawke! Click Here

But I don’t care. Matthew Broderick is savory and a tiny laughable as ‘the Mouse,’ showing in this film, exactly why he’s endured as an actor for all these years. Rutger Hauer, an actor I’ve always liked, did a grand job as well. His portrayal of the cursed and grieving Navarre is believable in its intensity. And of course, Michelle Pfiefer, while not a scene stealer, certainly is nice to scrutinize.

The myth itself is the classic epic of star-crossed lovers (apt down to the enchantment that keeps them apart), but unlike Shakespeare’s classic play, the lovers accumulate to have each other in the slay. This is a legal anecdote fantasy, with a expedient many novel elements.

The first thing most people mention when they recognize this movie is that the musical salvage is out of status. I have to admit that that analysis is suitable on. The musical scoring for this movie was done by 80’s band “The Alan Parsons Project.” While generally, I have liked their music, the disco-pop electronica that runs through a wonderful share of the movie and many of the action scenes is out of situation and poorly chosen. In 1985, this was cutting edge stuff, but now nearly 20 years later, it is hopelessly dated and out of area for a pure medieval fantasy film. Fantasy movies should have a fantasy acquire.

It would be fabulous if a director’s prick were released with a revamped musical collect. Such a project would turn what is at this point a very ravishing movie (with hokey music) into a stronger and better lasting film.

But for all the downsides of the musical salvage, it’s the record itself that steals the exhibit. There’s something radiant and heartwarming about it and its characters. As a result, they have your attention easily and through them, the expansive finale truly manages to build the viewer grin with satisfaction.

About the DVD:

This DVD release of Ladyhawke is nothing special as far as DVD releases go. It comes on a double sided DVD in both Letterbox and Fullscreen versions in a cardboard snap case. The movie is translated into French and Spanish, and comes with English, French, and Spanish subtitles. There are a few bonus features as well, but all of the textual variety. More on that below.

The video quality of this DVD is not remarkable better than you’d score on a video cassette; something that’s somewhat disappointing given the DVD format’s high capacity for quality images. The heavy film grain that showed up in some scenes is not something I like to gaze on DVD. It’s a precise shame, because the lack of quality really shows on a high resolution screens. Likewise, the sound is about average as well.

This DVD does have a few bonus features that arrive in the format of a few screens of trivia about the making of the film and various aspects of the cast and production. All are bright reading but aren’t anything more than arresting trivia. The only loyal video allotment of the bonus features is the orginal theatrical trailer for the movie.

Bottom line here is that this is a mediocre DVD release. The awful film transfer really is noticable on high-res screens, and there really isn’t grand in terms of extra features and material. I give it 4 stars. A elegant movie that worth seeing, on a mediocre and disappointing DVD release.

I am not a cherish movie critic, but I know what I like and I like this movie. There are very few movies that leave a lasting impression on me, and Ladyhawke is definitely one of them. The account, music (no, it is NOT disco-medieval) and acting is haunting, droll, romantic and hopeful. This was the first time I ever saw Michelle Pfiffer and I remember thinking how handsome and perfectly salubrious she was for this portion. Rutger Hauer is absolutely dashing as a knight in dark and they acquire a perfect pair. Matthew Broderick provides a improbable balance of humor and encourage for the 2 cursed lovers. I have loved this movie for 15 years and it collected remains one of my favorites. The set and scenery is absolutely lovely. Like I said, I’m not some like movie critic, looking at every aspect of a film. But, I can say this: It was one of the best films assign out in the 80s and I calm recommend it to friends when the topic of traditional movies comes up. If you’re a romantic at heart, you’ll like this movie, I promise.

“Can’t whisper. Can’t act. Balding. Can dance a tiny.” Hollywood narrative has it that that was the narrate on Fred Astaire’s initial RKO cover test. Not a very auspicious initiate for a stage dancer trying to catch a foot in the door of Hollywood. His movie debut was in a 1933 MGM movie titled “Dancing Lady”, wherein Fred had a fleeting cameo as himself. But it was later on in the same year that Fred really made the movie audience sit up and pay attention, when he got fifth-billing in RKO’s “Flying Down to Rio.”

Buy,Download, Or Stream Flying Down to Rio! Click Here

The situation focus is mainly on the inconsequential fancy triangle of Dolores del Rio, Gene Raymond and Brazilian tenor Raul Roulien and it takes site in Rio de Janeiro. Roger Bond (Raymond) is an aviator/band leader who falls hard for Belinha (del Rio), only to come by out she’s engaged to his favorable buddy, Julio (Roulien) … This was unbiased supposed to be yet another musical-comedy done by the numbers in a style prevalent to the times. But in the greater scope of things, the lead romance takes backstage to the staunch relevance of this film: the first ever team-up of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (the fourth-billed on the roster) . On a personal level, this movie also has one of my well-liked one-liners: “What have these South Americans got below the equator that we haven’t? ”

Fred Astaire – help in his Broadway stage days, and partnered with his sister Adele – feeble to specialize in playing the musically gifted, nice all-American fella with no girl to romance (he certainly couldn’t romance his sister) and he carries that role over to this film. He plays Fred Ayres, sidekick and wingman to Raymond’s Roger Bond, who does all the heavy load of skirt-chasing. Fred has a relationship with Ginger’s Honey Hayes, but it seems to be strictly grounded in friendship, though flirting occurs. It won’t be until his next movie The Happy Divorcee that he becomes a romantic lead, the girl in seek information from being, of course, Ginger Rogers. It’s a bit ironic to me, though, that the more luscious verbal exchanges seem to assume dwelling between Fred and Honey, with the amorous Roger and Belinha (del Rio’s character) trading the more routine banter. But probably, I’m biased.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Flying Down to Rio! Click Here

The Astaire and Rogers partnership starts innocently enough with the arresting musical number “Music Makes Me” but the duo’s chemistry is in full-blown prove with the eleven-minute-plus-long “The Carioca”, a song-and-dance routine that called for the participators to dance with their foreheads pressed together. Oh, Fred and Ginger don’t dance for the entire length of the number but, apparently, the audience saw enough to leave a lasting impression. Astaire gets his only singing assignment at the finale, warbling the title song as an astonishing and disconcerting Busby Berkeley-type aerial routine goes underway. Sandwiched somewhere in the middle of the film, Roulien also croons “Orchids in the Moonlight”.

This movie became a financial success, which pulled the RKO studio out of imminent bankruptcy. Variety magazine reviewed the movie thus: “The main point of Flying Down to Rio is the conceal promise of Fred Astaire…. He’s assuredly a bet after this one, for he’s distinctly likeable on the cover, the mike is kind to his deliver and as a dancer he remains in a class by himself. The latter observation will be no news to the professsion, which has long admitted that Astaire starts dancing where the others cessation hoofing”. With only Raymond and del Rio in the cast, this would’ve been a 2-and-a-half star rating from me, not terrible but nothing special. As it is, I’m dropping down 4 stars on Flying Down to Rio, for frothy, enchanting musicality and its historical significance in filmdom.

Oh yeah, Gene Raymond gets the girl in the kill.

Flying Down To Rio featured the substantial Delores Del Rio as Belinha De Rezende, a wealthy Brazilian young lady who must enter into an arranged marriage; and Gene Raymond playing Roger Bond, an American band manager who falls in appreciate with her practically at first eye. RKO intended for Flying Down To Rio to be a vehicle for Gene Raymond and Delores Del Rio. Rather unexpectedly, however, two other people stole the show: Fred Astaire as Fred Ayres, the band’s accordionist and Ginger Rogers as Honey Hale. Audiences were very impressed and never forgot them; Fred and Ginger continued to originate tremendous movies together for quite some while to advance.

But I am getting ahead of myself–by about several reviews or so! In Flying Down To Rio you earn an American band rather faded to being out of work race by ladies’ man Roger Bond; a twisted Greek syndicate; an aerial flying point to with dancing girls on the wings of the airplanes, modern found like on a supposedly deserted island that turns out to be Haiti; the biggest and best Carioca dance scene you ever did see; and a stuffy musty aunt looking after Belinha to do positive she enters into that not so perfectly arranged marriage. So, you may ask, how do these all fit together? Well, this is a 1930s musical designed to distract Americans from the Substantial Depression, so the retort is easy: they DON’T always fit together well. The site resembles a buffet where you obtain a diminutive bit of a lot; and certainly not all of the characters have depth to them here. Gene Raymond injects a lot of wretchedness to act rather convincingly as Roger Bond who is deeply in cherish with Belinha De Rezende; and Delores Del Rio plays Belinha beautifully.

At the same time, we leer Fred and Honey (Fred and Ginger) fair beginning to shine and they easily acquire the explain two or three times throughout this recount. The Carioca dance scene is choreographed to perfection; and Fred and Ginger work wonders together throughout the rest of the film, too.

Will Belinha marry her husband to be Julio (Raul Roulien) and position aside her somewhat impulsive amorous feelings for band manager Roger? Will the band procure work in Rio? Will the hotel where the band wants to play be able to stage a reveal if their permit is fouled up? Why do the Greeks want to rob over the hotel? Sorry folks; no spoilers here–if you want to know the answers you’ll fair have to perceive the film to collect out!

The choreography shines through best with the numerous extensive song and dance numbers that are peppered all throughout the film; and the cinematography is rather worthy. The people are well framed on the hide when they need to be and there are several scene changes that purchase set with lines running across the mask to point to that we are jumping to another state for the next scene. This was considered gorgeous cinematography in its day.

The DVD has a couple of extras but if you glean this DVD the film squarely remains the main event. You regain a comedy short entitled Short Beer and Pretzels with Ted Healy and His Stooges and a cartoon entitled I Like Mountain Music.

I highly recommend this film for fans of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers especially since this was their first film together. Their dancing even then was outstanding, to say the least. People who be pleased musicals from the golden age of Hollywood should salvage this film, too, to luxuriate in the numerous song and dance numbers. The dancing isn’t always the best, but you will like these musical numbers anyway.

Enjoy!

This was an instant teen classic. Far more than a movie about romance, lust or “parents who impartial don’t understand” …. this was a sizable flick and it unruffled is.

Matthew Broderick introduced the masses to the world of hacking, phreaking and global thermo nuclear war.

The average person at that time had never heard of a phone phreak, but we gawk the lead character net free calls on a payphone and stealing software via his 300 baud modem before anyone knew there was software worth stealing.

Buy,Download, Or Stream War Games! Click Here

Not only are his parents affluent enough to supply him with a computer, he gets discarded computer hardware from friends at a local university to invent the super-duper hacking machine that ends up getting him in astronomical substantial distress.

While a lot of this tale is sparkling fantastic, some of the situation was insensible on for the time. There were no minature computers and cameras and while the government had satelites, they couldn’t count your eyelashes from the stratosphere like they can today.

Nuclear war with the Soviet Union was a genuine threat when this movie came out… all of my friends talked about it and posters with mushroom clouds were all over our school. Sting came out with the song “Russians” and we all peed in our pants when the point to “The Day After” aired on prime time TV.

Buy,Download, Or Stream War Games! Click Here

It was a scary time and this movie masterfully played on the dread of nuclear threats and the right likelihood (and nowadays a reality) of having formerly human-manned stations automated by computers.

Lots of excitement, astronomical background music and lots of 80s nostalgia abound in this film. If you’re in your slack 20s to early 40s and you haven’t seen this film, it’s your duty to gain it!

I wish the DVD had more features, such as out-takes and interviews with the stars and perhaps others (like folks at NASA or other renowned computer geeks) who may have been influenced by this film. The DVD platform isn’t taken advantage like it should be, especially w/ a film of this genre. Nonetheless, it’s a better format than VHS and definitely watchable over and over again.

This review refers to the MGM DVD edition of “War Games”……

“War Games” is a film to be enjoyed by the whole family. Only the very young may not get it fascinating as it may be beyond their comprehension.Select a glide succor to the early eighties. There may have been “a car in every driveway, a chicken in every pot..”, but definately not a computer in every teenager’s bedroom.

David Lightman(Matthew Broderick) is a high school slacker. He is highly intellegent but for the most fragment an underachiever when it comes to his school work. Not a plight though. He only has to go home where he has a very high tech computer set-up for the time period. Once there he justs hacks his diagram into the school computer and changes his grades! Gleaming! So luminous in fact, that one day he finds that he has broken into a high security system, and finds himself in the Defense Department’s war computer. He was only looking for games, and he found one…”Global Thermonuclear War”!

The computer starts playing the game with him, he thinks it’s a blast(excuse the pun) he even takes the Russian side, until he realizes…this may be no game. The military is perplexed by what they gape on their tall screens and they immediatley go into a defense mode. The only hope now is to accumulate the creator of this game and hope he can acquire the computer close playing before WWIII begins!

You’ll be riveted by the thrilling and high tech action as David and his girlfriend(Ally Sheedy) go on the urge with the FBI halt on their heels, and try to prevent this abominable tragedy from occuring.

The young stars buy the explain in this one, but it is rounded out by attractive performances by Dabney Coleman and John Wood. It was directed by John Badham who keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.

A very nice DVD. You’ll thought all the action in though-provoking colors and an outstanding report. You have the choice of widescreen or standard.(No need to figure out which side it’s on, you manufacture that decision at the beginning of the film) Very beneficial sound in Dolby Dig 5.1. There is feature length commentary by the director and the writers. Be positive to GO Help to RESUME after pressing on this choice to gain to it.It also includes a nice booklet and may be viewed in French or with subtitles in English, French or Spanish.

This is one everyone in the house should be pleased with.. and may even bewitch up Chess afterwards…relish…Laurie

Following the release of GOJIRA (Godzilla, King of the Monsters, before Raymond Burr was gash in) and it’s sequel, Toho made their first color giant monster movie: RODAN(aka Radon, and Rodan,The Flying Monster) .Unlike most creature features of the time RODAN doesn’t perform you wait 2/3’s of the movie for a monster to reveal up .Meganurons, giant prehistoric dragonfly larva compose their appearance rather early in the film. It’s this share of the film that’s often compared to “Them”.However,in RODAN the giant insects are only the dwelling up.In the most memorable scene, when the character comes out of shock, he not only remembers being trapped underground with the Meganurons but also the hatching of a Rodan chick from it’s egg.Having the audience already in on the size of the larva provides instant scale, as the hatchling devours the Meganurons. To add to the excitement of the rest of the narrate we learn that in fact two Rodans have hatched.

Now for the first time Classic Media is presenting this film to American audiences in both it’s current 82 min Japanese language version as well the 72 min English language version.

THE WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS makes it’s DVD debut. It’s also presented in both the Japanese Version (88 mins.), and English Version (92 mins.) .

Special Features: “Bringing Godzilla Down To Size” a unique Documentary (68 mins.)

If the quality of the re-mastering and source material remains the same, as it’s been, since their Gojira release, in 2006, this should be the best video release of RODAN ever.

RODAN and THE WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS are two of Toho’s best giant monster films, and both were subjected to awkward and unnecessary Americanization jobs. With this welcome release, USA fans can now easily and cheaply gain their comparisons, as Japanese and USA versions of both films are generously included.

GARGANTUAS is especially long-awaited, but, sadly, Classic Media’s transfer of the Toho version is a letdown. Toho’s print has always been darker, with less-saturated color than the UPA (not AIP!) print. This transfer, however, is Map too dusky, and not terribly sharp; in the scenes with Gailah vs. the military, he often looks like small more than a shadow…honest unpleasant! No, my TV settings are not to blame- this transfer is lifeless dismal to Toho’s Laserdisc and DVD releases, which is strange when you contemplate how many nice DVDs of the Godzilla titles have been released by Classic Media. All the more sorrowful is that the Japanese version of GARGANTUAS works considerable better as a movie than the English-dubbed one. That version LOOKS great better on this DVD, but its problems are renowned and numerous. Said problems are probably the fault of the leisurely and notoriously clueless producer, Henry Saperstein…I can objective envision him looking at the rushes, smoking a spacious cigar, and saying, “Don’t gape like no Frankenstein to me!”. So, the Frankenstein references are gone, along with worthy of the integrity of the screenplay. Gone, also, is worthy of Ifukube’s splendid acquire. (replaced by dumb library music, and even by Ifukube music from previous films: why? ) Add to this some ill-advised editing, and Russ Tamblyn instead of Slit Adams…Tamblyn is clearly about half past give-a-damn throughout, though his presence may not be all UPA’s fault. Bottom line: this kaiju classic was nearly ruined by gaijin interference. Mild, this is the version that most USA fans fondly remember, and the monster mayhem and immense Toho cast do GARGANTUAS attractive tough to disfavor, so it’s first-rate to finally have it.

Both versions of RODAN are aesthetic, and the Japanese print looks colossal. The USA version has been released before, has many of the same issues as GARGANTUAS, but isn’t nearly as painful to gawk, apart from the absurd stock footage and narration. I’ve always been fond of RODAN.

No trailers, galleries or commentaries are included here, which doesn’t bother me that great. What is included is the outstanding documentary, BRINGING GODZILLA DOWN TO SIZE…no, it doesn’t converse the praises of GODZILLA VS. MEGALON and the like, and that clearly irks some fans, but it does pay attention to several lesser-known (but mild necessary) Toho FX craftsmen. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

All things considered, a flawed but level-headed worthwhile release for Kaiju fans, especially at this bargain brand.

In these films we meet 6 tall artists – 3 composers: Elgar, Debussy, Delius; dancer Isadora Duncan; outmoded painter Henri Rousseau; and Pre-Raphaelite poet and painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti. All are on indicate with flaws intact whether struggling for recognition or sponsorship or with their hold self-destructive personalities. Russell’s sometimes ambiguous feelings for his subjects is evident in that he avoids polite and agreeable hagiography, which is realistic — [...] may often be lurking slack works of stout beauty. The casts of these films will be familiar faces to those familiar with Russell’s troupe in his 70s films: Oliver Reed, Christopher Gable, Max Adrian, and Vladek Sheybal.

The films presented are fairly crisp with many an evocative sequence both in natural settings and in studio. The only flaw is inherent to the quality of the audio of the time, particularly in respect to the soundtracks of the composer films, i.e. tinny. The contemporary interview of Russell describing these films is scrumptious and insightful.

Six films on DVDs, including one never released on any home medium before–the reliable, “Always on Sunday”. There’s always hope that the next half of the season will have the extras this one is lacking, but even without that, it’s peaceful more than worth the money to finally have Darkwing on DVD.

Recent conversation I had with a friend -

Me: It really was the best display ever. Sadly, I haven’t been able to bring myself to explore the rest of that DVD I got of the first season. I was so mad that they had establish the edited version of the first episode on the DVD. I mean sheesh! I have the unedited version on the new video release. What were they thinking of? Don’t they reflect that people who purchase the exhibit do so because they actually want to behold it as it was?

Friend: What the hell? Why do they edit all the shows on DVDs these days? … Plan to promote illegal distribution by driving people to P2P networks for the unique versions.

I treasure this note, I really do. I was on the list to be informed when it came out on DVD, and the diminutive Amazon e-mailed re: its availability I placed my order. I was so wrathful when it came. The shrimp it arrived I popped it in and watched the two-part pilot episode.

I haven’t touched it since. I was so disheartened at the cuts that had been made (the entire opening plug sequence and assorted gags and dialogue throughout), I didn’t have the heart to go help to it and be disappointed again.

I don’t know *why* the cuts were made. I doubt it was to tone down any cartoon violence as other equally “violent” moments were left in. I suspect these were edits that were made when the indicate was actually detached on the air, edits made due to time considerations and for more commercial state. However, the fleshy footage should have been restored and included when Disney decided to release the indicate on DVD.

I don’t want to be negative. I wouldn’t have reviewed except that, looking at what people have written, I notice that no one has mentioned the edits. Younger viewers, people who didn’t notice the point to when it first came out or who didn’t observe it on video, many not even be aware. Quiet, fans should know that the explain has been tampered with before they assume it.

5 stars for the recent television present, but 3 stars for the DVD release.

Having already seen My Darling Clementine (1946) and The Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957) several times, I was bewitching to stare what director George Pan Cosmatos and his screenwriters would do with essentially the same material in this film. There are important differences between and among them but suggesting comparisons and contrasts would be unfair to three different films which appeared over a 57-year period.

Now on to Tombstone. Director George Cosmatos worked with a huge cast and all of the performances are obliging. William Fraker’s cinematography and Bruce Broughton’s musical regain are carefully integrated within the account and back it well. My hold idea is that Val Kilmer (Doc Holliday) dominates each scene in which he appears. However, Kurt Russell (Wyatt Earp), Dana Delany (Josephine Marcos), Sam Elliot (Virgil Earp), and Powers Boothe (Curly Bill Brocius) occupy their possess.

As portrayed in the film, Tombstone (Arizona) is a western town in the last stages of being a community dominated by outlaws. The involvement of the Earps coincide with a growing local desire among residents to do law and order. The eventual showdown at the OK Corral is a key event but by no means the only one. I was especially involved in how Cosmatos and Russell do Wyatt Earp’s character as he struggles to follow his conscience, set aside some stability in his acquire life, and thereby complete a transition from gunfighter to private citizen.

Back to Kilmer for a moment. I do not steal a prior or subsequent film of his in which he reveals the humorous timing, nuances of personality, and conflicting anxieties which he does while portraying Holliday in Tombstone. His is a masterful performance, maintaining an heavenly balance between impish humor and force of will. I recalled elements of that performance while recently observing Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. However, the Holliday character is revealed to have remarkable greater depth and complexity than Sparrow’s even as both characters exhibit at every appropriate opportunity a fresh flair for mimicry.

I do have a few minor quibbles. First, I judge the coast of the location lags unnecessarily at times. Also, the evolving relationship between Wyatt Earp and Josephine Marcos is not always in focus, even when allowing for a period of adjustment as they remove each other’s measure. Finally, I really don’t understand the purpose of the final scene except to offer an alternative to the neat-and-tidy conclusion which so many other films offer. That said, I deem that Cosmatos, his cast, and crew have created 135 minutes of generally intelligent, sometimes hilarious, and often thought-provoking material. Perhaps the more ambitious scale (e.g. timeframe and subplots) precludes the dramatic impact of its predecessors, My Darling Clementine and The Gunfight at the OK Corral. In any event, I enjoyed it.

Final point: I wish all other versions offered special features comparable with those provided by the Vista Series DVD. They include a commentary by Cosmatos, the 134 Director’s Lop Edition, featurettes (”An Ensemble Cast,” “Making An Authentic Western,” and “The Gunfight At The O.K. Corral”), an interactive Tombstone storyline, The Tombstone Epitaph – Genuine Newspaper Chronicle, and Cosmatos’ unusual storyboards for the O.K. Corral sequence.

While this movie may never conclude the primary acclaim it deserves, there is a grassroots appreciation for this movie that points out, once again, the different worlds of professional movie critics and the movie-viewing public. For example, Leonard Maltin describes Dana Delany as ‘goofy’ in this production. Personally, I found her challenging, and — for some reason — the most splendid I have ever seen her.

Kurt Russell turns in another agreeable performance, proving once again that he has grown considerably as an actor over the years.

The performances of Michael Biehn, Sam Elliott, Powers Boothe, Billy Bob Thornton, Bill Paxton, Billy Zane, Jason Priestly, Joanna Pacula, even Charlton Heston, in supporting roles — major and minor — are carefully crafted and played to perfection.

But in my book Val Kilmer steals the note as Doc Holliday. Chalk this up as another wonderful performance (e.g. Thunderheart) by the oft-maligned but pleasurable actor.

Do yourselves a favor and conception this movie as a stand-alone … don’t try to compare it to the other Wyatt Earp movies; don’t compare it to history. Impartial savor it as it is — a truly well-told legend, a violent adore legend (consider Honest Romance station in the 19th century if you will), burly of outstanding performances.

This epic (as are almost all tales about Earp) is heavily romanticized. History reveals that there were no great guys or unpleasant guys in the power struggles that took plot between town authorities, Earp’s crowd, and The Cowboys. Nonetheless, the director has paid halt attention to period accuracy in costume, language, and props. The firearms traditional — an residence that is often woefully researched — are period legal, with only the most minor license taken for cinematic execute.

My guess is that in time this movie will set itself as an audience celebrated regardless of “expert” belief. And the cast members have every reason to be proud of a truly exquisite ensemble performance.
